Design description
Sports and recreation are an essential part of life of every individual, regardless of age, line of work or health conditions.
The existing tennis courts with spectator stands are located in a green oasis in the tourist zone of Lapad, in Dubrovnik, and are a favourite location for hosting local and international tournaments.
Our design includes renovating the spectator stands, landscaping and renovating the accompanying social-function spaces, as well as covering two courts in accordance with ITF standards.

We have opted for timber as the main element for the support structure of the cover, with the aim of maintaining a sense of nature for players and visitors staying and playing sports in the new covered/indoor space.
By deciding on an arched shape, we have successfully avoided the harshness and the sharp edges in the design, thus blending in with the surrounding environment as much as possible.
We are certain that through its design this building, once it is finished, will become a focal point for tourists in this part of Dubrovnik.
