Design description
The foundation stone of this religious complex was blessed by Pope John Paul II during his pastoral visit to Dubrovnik in 2003, and our company and Mr Stjepo Butijer were honoured by the request to develop the design, from the first sketches to the finalisation.
The complex with the Church of St Anthony as the patron saint of the youth, is located in the immediate vicinity of the local school. Adding new religious facilities and facilities such as the multi-purpose hall, library and numerous outdoor and recreational amenities enriched the offer of the island of Korčula, as well as attracted all generations of people.

The unity is also demonstrated by the great mosaic on the church’s façade that says: “Venite ad me omnes” (Come to me all).
This religious complex represents an architectural composition of a dominant church building designed in a “classically modern” style with traditional stone details and planned as a three-nave basilica with a separate bell tower.
The complex is planned to be divided into zones of different purposes suitable for every need or event in different time periods. When approaching the building, you are filled with a sense of devotion, meditation, calmness and a desire for spiritual renewal The complex also includes a children’s playground, which makes for a merrier and livelier experience.
